O'Donoghue leads delegation to Czech Republic

Ceann Comhairle John O'Donoghue will lead a parliamentary delegation to Prague today to mark 60 years of diplomatic relations between Ireland and the Czech Republic.

Ceann Comhairle John O'Donoghue will lead a parliamentary delegation to Prague today to mark 60 years of diplomatic relations between Ireland and the Czech Republic.

The group includes cross-party TDs Joe Costello, Damien English, Timmy Dooley as well as Senators Martin Brady, Ann Ormonde and Paudie Coffey.

The visit includes meetings with Czech Republic president Vaclav Klaus, Irish Ambassador Donal Hamill and representatives of Enterprise Ireland.

"It is hoped that this visit will serve to further strengthen relations between the parliaments of the Czech Republic and Ireland," an Oireachtas spokesperson said.

The three-day trip is at the invitation of the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Miloslav Vlcek.
