Gardaí are today investigating the sudden death of a young man in Co Wicklow.

Gardaí are today investigating the sudden death of a young man in Co Wicklow.

The man, in his early 20s, died at his family home at Mountain View Drive, Bray last night.

Officers were called to the scene at 7.30pm. A post-mortem examination, including toxicology tests, will be carried out on the man’s body today.

Officers at the scene are not treating his death as suspicious.

“Gardaí in Bray are investigating the sudden death of a young man,” said a Garda spokesman. “At this point we are trying to determine the cause of his death.”

Meanwhile, two young men hospitalised after collapsing separately over the weekend remain in a stable condition in hospital at the Midland Regional Hospital.

Medical staff and gardaí are investigating all circumstances surrounding their illnesses, including if the men’s conditions are drug related.

A 17-year-old found collapsed on a street in Mullingar on Saturday night / Sunday morning is being treated in the intensive care unit in Tullamore.

A 26-year-old man who was found in his apartment in Longford Town on Saturday afternoon is being cared for in Mullingar.
