Lenihan reveal new justice initiatives

The Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan has revealed the spending package for the justice and equality sector for 2008.

The main points of this include: The introduction of a new digital radio system and an automatic number plate registration system, the hiring of 28 civilian crime analysts and the continued funded of Operation Anvil nationwide.

He also revealed that Garda number will rise to 15,000.
