Police in the North have arrested two men in connection with the shooting of a police officer in Derry earlier this month.

Police in the North have arrested two men in connection with the shooting of a police officer in Derry earlier this month.

The 43-year-old Catholic man was injured during the incident in the Bogside area on November 8th, while he was dropping his child off at school.

The Real IRA claimed responsibility for the attack, along with the shooting of another PSNI officer in Dungannon four days later.

The two men arrested today were detained at their homes in Derry.
