Two men remain in coma after Waterford house party
Two young men remain in a coma today after the house party in Waterford over the weekend that led to 15 people needing medical treatment.
The 21-year-old and 23-year-old fell ill at the party in the Ballybeg estate in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Gardaí recovered a white powder from the house and sent it for technical analysis.
They have not revealed what drug it was, but say it was not toxic and did not contain the horse tranquiliser ketamine, which is frequently used as a recreational drug.
A 25-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident is still being held by Gardaí in Waterford this morning.
