Lithuanian man dies of crash injuries

A Lithuanian man has died four days after a car accident, gardaí said today.

Donatas Kontrimas, 22, who had been living in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, was injured in a crash last Thursday morning.

The accident happened near Kenagh, Co Longford, when the Volkswagen Golf he was driving veered off the road.

A 21-year-old from Estonia, who was a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries.

Gardaí said they are investigating the cause of the accident.
