12 released from hospital, three still critical after party

Twelve people have been released from hospital in Waterford, where they were being treated after falling ill at a house party last night.

Three people remain in intensive care at Waterford Regional Hospital following the 21st birthday party at Ballybeg Square last night.

It is believed that a bad batch of drugs is to blame for their illness.

Gardaí are awaiting the results of a toxicology test on a white substance found at the house.

They are also urging anyone who attended the party to get medical attention.
