Ahern hints at end to self-regulation for solicitors

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has hinted at a possible end to the system of self-regulation among solicitors.

Mr Ahern was reacting to Dáil questions from Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny in light of the current spate of court cases involving solicitors.
