Driver killed in Co Limerick crash

A motorist was killed today and a second driver seriously injured in a car crash in Co Limerick, gardaí have confirmed.

Gardaí from Roxboro Road Garda Station are investigating the three-car collision in Cloughnadromin, Ballysimon, shortly after 3.30pm.

The injured man was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.

Meanwhile, the R515 between Broadford and Ashford, Limerick, is closed from the Spout to Whitescross due to an overturned truck.

Gardaí are at the scene and diversions are in place until tomorrow morning.
