HSE denies delay in results of cancer tests

The Health Service Executive is denying reports that the six women sent for fresh cancer tests as a result of the Portlaoise misdiagnosis scandal will not get their results for a number of weeks.

Reports this morning claimed the results may not be known for some weeks, but a HSE spokesperson has insisted they will be ready as promised early this week.
