A 27-year old Carlow man convicted of IRA membership was jailed for four years today at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin.

Mark Doran, of Poacher's Lock, Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, was convicted of membership of an unlawful organisation styling itself the Irish Republican Army, otherwise Oglaigh na hÉireann, otherwise the IRA on October 26, 2006.
