Aer Lingus to talk to staff amid strike threat

Aer Lingus says it will engage directly with staff over the next 48 hours in an effort to conclude its cost-cutting plans and avert industrial action.

The airline's ground staff has served strike notice for next week that will take the form of four-hour work stoppages on Tuesday and Friday.
