Protestors dressed as Brian Cowen will gather outside the Dáil this morning and make a special appeal to the Minister for Finance.

Minister Cowen is being asked not to give any money to the lending arm of the World Bank, when the bank meets in Dublin later this week.

The 'Debt and Development Coalition Ireland' group claim that the World Bank is imposing harmful policies as a condition for developing countries to receive its loans and aid.

The group is an alliance of a number of other organisations, including Trócaire and Comhlamh.
