Girl, 5, dies in Cork car crash

A five-year-old girl died tonight when the car in which she was a passenger collided with another vehicle.

The fatal collision occurred in Newmarket in north Co Cork at 5.30pm.

The scene of the incident in Church Street has been sealed off for a technical examination and traffic diversions are in place.
