Castleblaney bypass opens to traffic later today

Another new section of the N2 between Dublin and Derry is due to open to traffic later today.

The Castleblaney by-pass in Co Monaghan will divert traffic out of Annyalla, Clontibret and Castleblaney town itself.

The 16km stretch of road should cut journey times from Dublin to the border by around 40 minutes.

Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey will officially open the road this afternoon.
