Two arrested over gangland double murder last month

Gardaí have arrested two men as part of their investigation into a double shooting in Walkinstown last month.

24-year-old Eddie Ward and 40-year-old Brian Downes were gunned down on the Greenhills road in a gangland attack on the October 5.

This morning, detectives arrested two men, aged 27 and 28, in connection with the murders.

They are being held at Crumlin and Sundrive road Garda stations and can be detained for up to 72 hours.
