Parents advised to look into standards of creches
Parents are being advised to thoroughly check out any day-care centre they are considering for their children.
The advice from the National Childrens' Nurseries Association follows the release of a raft of complaints made against creches across the country.
The complaints detail a litany of problems including poor safety, inadequate training, dirty facilities and bullying.
The NCNA is advising parents to choose day-care centres wisely; to ask questions to find out how qualified the staff are and to ask what type of health and safety policies they have in place.
