Road death toll increases over bank holiday weekend

A 22-year-old man died after the car he was a passenger in overturned and hit an embankment at Forenaughts Little in Naas Co Kildare.

The accident happened at 1.50am this morning.

Another man died after he was struck by a car Co Westmeath at 3.40am.

Their deaths bring to five the number of people killed on Irish roads over the Bank Holiday weekend.
