Following three days of intensive negotiations at the Labour Relations Commission, a deal was reached on payment for 200 Polish workers at the Moneypoint plant.

Under the agreement, the Polish subcontractor ZRE Katowitz Ireland will go into voluntary liquidation to ensure the wages are paid.

As well as their wages, the workers will receive holiday pay, pay in lieu of notice and their pension contributions.

The men have also been given formal job offers from the company in Poland and free flights home.
