Man questioned following drugs and gun find

A man was being questioned by gardaí tonight after a gun, bullets and drugs were seized in a planned raid on a house.

The swoop was made in Oakway, Clondalkin, west Dublin and it is understood to be part of a wider operation against organised crime.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being questioned under section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act.

A loaded 9mm automatic Glock handgun was found in the raid along with a small amount of cocaine worth about €3,000.

Gardai from Pearse Street in Dublin city centre carried out the raid.
