INHO: Older people at risk from Budget

The Irish Nursing Homes Association (INHO) has today appealed to the Government not to let older people become the main casualty of a tight Budget.

The group is holding its annual conference today and says it fears that funding for Ireland's elderly population will be reduced in the upcoming Budget.

It says that current funding is as low as 0.6% of GDP, compared with a European average of 1%.
