The Technical Engineering and Electrical Union (TEEU) is to seek wider support today for ESB Polish workers owed six weeks wages.

The TEEU issued strike notice over the dispute after talks with management failed and warned they would sit down with other unions to discuss a way forward.

The Labour Relations Commission have asked both sides to come in for negotiations today.

The workers claimed they have not been paid for six weeks by Polish company ZRE one of the subcontractors involved in a €384m contract at the giant plant.

The TEEU, which is resisting a new subcontractor coming in, insist there must be an agreement over wages owed and job security for the 200 foreign staff.
