Lenihan to deal with 'anomaly' in bail law

The Minister for Justice is moving to deal with what he calls an anomaly in the law on bail.

This will allow peace commissioners, prison governors and designated prison staff accept the bond set as a condition of bail in the case of those who are remanded in custody pending bail.
