Special events arranged to mark Parents Week

Special events are due to take place across the country this week to mark National Parents Week.

The week-long celebration, now in its third year, aims to emphasise the role of parents in society.

It is arranged by Parentline, which is also launching a new parenting guide to coincide with this year's festivities.

Other events taking place across the country include pampering days, workshops and art exhibitions.
