Man dies from injuries sustained in Limerick brawl

A 20-year-old Polish man has died from injuries he sustained during a brawl involving up to 20 foreign nationals in Limerick 10 days ago.

The incident took place last Saturday week on Ellen Street.

Matusz Sabik was seriously injured in the violence and died in hospital yesterday.

Two Polish nationals were arrested in the city this morning in connection with the assault and are being questioned by Gardai this afternoon.
