Polish TV star addresses equality seminar

A Polish TV presenter will address a Labour Party seminar in Dublin today on equality in the media.

City Channel star Izabela Chidzicka will be joined at the event by newly-elected deputy leader Joan Burton and Senator Dominic Hannigan.

The event entitled ’Do minorities get a fair deal in the media?’ will be held at the Mansion House.

The debate coincides with a Green Party one-day conference to update party members on its early experience of government.

Up to 400 party members will also be briefed on what they can expect in the coming months.

There will be presentations by Green Party ministers John Gormley, Eamon Ryan and Trevor Sargent, followed by workshops on fundraising, political activism and on how to become an election candidate.
