Cowen warns on need for pay restraint

Minister for Finance Brian Cowen has warned on the need for pay restraint to maintain national competitiveness.

The minister also told an insurance conference today that with the slowdown in residential construction alternative sources of growth would have to be found to drive the economy forward.
