Man in court in connection with Clontarf stabbing

A 41-year-old man appeared in court today charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Dublin last week.

The man has been charged with assault causing serious harm to 50-year-old Finbarr Dennehy.

Mr Dennehy was found dead at his apartment on Seafield Road in Clontarf last Wednesday. A post mortem revealed that he died of a stab wound.

There was no application for bail, and Judge Hugh O'Donnell remanded the man in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next Monday morning.
