Consultants to consider latest offer in contracts dispute

Hospital consultants are due to meet this afternoon to consider the latest proposals put forward by the HSE to end a dispute over new contracts.

Reports yesterday said the HSE was offering consultants salaries of up to €216,000 if they agree to the new contracts, which will require them to work exclusively in public hospitals.
