Catholic priests are being urged to oppose "anti-family" aspects of Ireland's immigration laws and policies.

Sr Stanislaus Kennedy of the Immigrant Council of Ireland told the National Council of Priests today that the Church had an obligation to lobby the Government for a more compassionate approach to families that are separated by migration.
