Tribunal confirms Ahern appearance on Thursday

The Mahon Tribunal has confirmed that the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, will be back in the witness box on Thursday to answer more questions about his personal finances in the 1990s.

The tribunal is investigating a number of large sums of money that Mr Ahern received from wealthy businessmen and friends. Mr Ahern has denied there was anything improper in the payments.
