Ahern 'to look at extending Fianna Fáil into the North'

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is today expected to announce the establishment of a committee to look into the possibility of extending Fianna Fáil into the North.

Mr Ahern will give details of the special group, which will be chaired by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern, at the party’s Co Wicklow think-in, a Fianna Fail spokeswoman confirmed.
