Belgian woman quizzed over airport cocaine haul

A 30-year-old Belgian woman was arrested at Dublin Airport tonight after drugs with a street value of more than €100,000 were found hidden in shampoo bottles, Customs said.

A 30-year-old Belgian woman was arrested at Dublin Airport tonight after drugs with a street value of more than €100,000 were found hidden in shampoo bottles, Customs said.

The find was made after pellets filled with cocaine were seen stuffed in four bottles during an X-ray of her baggage.

The total amount was 1.5kg (3.3lb), with an estimated street value of €105,000.

The woman, who has been living in Ireland for a number of years, is being questioned at Santry garda station.
