Suspect package puts Co Louth town on alert

A security alert is underway in Co Louth after the discovery of a suspect package near a bridge in the village of Castlebellingham at around 12.30pm this afternoon.

The army bomb disposal team has been called to the scene and is currently carrying out an examination of the area.
