Taoiseach rules out Govt intervention in Shannon row

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has ruled out Government intervention to prevent Aer Lingus from axing its Shannon to Heathrow flights.

Mr Ahern was speaking for the first time last night about the controversial decision, which is being vehemently opposed by local businesses and politicians.
