Emigrant centre raps Justice Dept over proposed deportations

Emigrant Advice which provides support for migrants here has blamed the Department of Justice for the proposed deportation of men and women from outside the EU who married EU citizens.

The centre in Dublin has claimed a lack of information from the department on residency is making it more difficult for those who want to apply to remain here.

It has claimed non-EU applicants were not made aware that they must have lived in another member state before seeking residence here.
