Toddler dies after falling out of window in Cork city

A 22-month-old girl has died following a tragic accident in Cork City in the early hours of this morning.

The toddler, who is understood to be a foreign national, fell out of the top window of a house on Hardwick Street.

She is believed to have fallen around 30 feet.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the death, but say they are treating it as a tragic accident.
