24 men begin road to priesthood

Twenty-four new seminarians have today been welcomed to St Patrick's College in Maynooth.

It is the first step they will take in their formation training for the priesthood.

The seminarians hail from all around the country, with six from northern dioceses amongst the group.

It brings to 70 the total number of men in Maynooth studying for the priesthood.
