Agbonlahor supporters protest outside Dept of Justice

Supporters of the Nigerian family deported home earlier this month are due to mount a demonstration outside the Department of Justice today.

Olivia Agbonlahor and her six-year-old twins Great and Melissa were returned to Nigeria after failing in a last-minute bid to block the deportation.

Olivia had argued that Great, who has autism, would not receive adequate treatment in Nigeria and would be treated as an outcast.

Another appeal is due to be mounted on their behalf in October and their supporters say they should have been allowed to stay until the outcome of that case.

The protest is due to start at lunchtime.

Kevin Brophy, soclicitor for the Agbonlahor family, talks of the situation involving their deportation.
