PSNI identify dismembered body
The man whose dismembered body was found behind a block of flats in Belfast yesterday has been identified as 34-year-old William David McClatchey.
Mr McClatchey's body parts were found in a two communal rubbish bin behind Pottinger House in the east of the city yesterday morning.
He was from the Taughmonagh estate in the south of the city, around three miles from the scene of the discovery.
The police searched the bins after receiving a tip-off about suspicious activity in the area.
A post mortem has been carried out, but the cause of death has not been disclosed.
A 42-year-old man remains in police custody in connection with the case, while forensic teams are searching a ground-floor flat at Pottinger House.
