Gardaí treating death of Laois man as murder

Gardaí investigating the death of a 55-year-old man at a house in Co Laois on Sunday night have formally upgraded the case to a murder inquiry.

Father-of-four Patrick Burke was found dead at his home in the village of Ballybrittas late on Sunday.
