Ireland sends aid to 'quake victims'

The Irish Government today began deploying emergency supplies of tents, blankets and cooking equipment to earthquake-ravaged Peru.

Almost 500 people have been killed and thousands have been made homeless in the natural disaster, which struck on Wednesday.
