Contraceptive pill blamed for young woman's death
An inquest has reportedly heard how a 31-year-old woman collapsed and died as a result of taking the contraceptive pill.
Reports this morning say Julie Hennessy, a native of Cork who was living in Dublin, died in March after developing deep vein thrombosis.
A doctor told yesterday's inquest that she developed the condition as a result of taking the oral contraceptive pill.
She had been taking the pill for a number of years.
