Two people remain in garda custody today following a fatal shooting in Co Meath.

The 17-year-old victim from Nigeria was murdered at his rented home in Dunboyne in the early hours of Friday morning when a shot was fired through the front door.

Shortly before 8pm last night, a man presented himself at Ballyfermot garda station in connection with the incident.

A woman was later arrested in the Clondalkin area of Dublin.

Gardaí have ruled out a racist motive and it's believed the attack may be linked to an alleged assault.

It is understood gardaí are looking for a third person in connection with the murder. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Ashbourne garda station on 01 8010600.
