The Labour Party has hinted at the possibility of more electoral pacts with Sinn Féin following its strongest-ever performance in the Seanad elections.

After reaching a voting pact with republicans, Labour secured six seats on the vocational panels, with Pearse Doherty also winning Sinn Féin's first-ever place in the upper house of parliament.
