AIB officials told the Mahon Tribunal that Taoiseach Bertie Ahern's explanations of bank lodgements do not tally with the bank's records and exchange rates.

AIB officials told the Mahon Tribunal that Taoiseach Bertie Ahern's explanations of bank lodgments do not tally with the bank's records and exchange rates.

The tribunal was told that Mr Ahern's explanation of a lodgment of almost IR£25,000 in October 1994 is not mathematically possible.
