Search for missing climber resumes in Kerry

Searches have resumed this morning for an American rock climber who is missing off the south west coast.

Thirty-six-year-old Michael Reardon was swept out to sea near Valentia on Friday evening when he was hit by a freak wave.

Garda divers will join the recovery operation at around 10am today.

Mr Reardon's wife and 13-year-old daughter are due to arrive in Ireland today from their home in California.
