Man beaten with hammers by raiders in Derry

A farmer was beaten with hammers, tied up and bundled into the boot of a car during a violent robbery in Co Derry, police revealed today.

The man suffered a fractured leg, as well as face and back injuries during the robbery in Aghadowey outside Coleraine yesterday.
