New hygiene standards for food businesses

Ireland’s 45,000 food businesses will face new hygiene standards to be unveiled today by Minister of State Trevor Sargent.

The new regulations will ensure Irish businesses comply with EU food hygiene standards and are set to affect food retailing, food traceability and catering for tourists.
