Woman airlifted to hospital from Inis Msr with head injuries

A woman had to be airlifted to hospital this afternoon after being injured on the Aran Islands.

She was cycling on Inis Msr when she fell and suffered a head injury.

Shannon Coastguard Helicopter was alerted and brought the woman to Galway University Hospital, where she arrived at about 4pm.
